Altezza Car Club jump-starts group
TEZZAWORLD, a car club exclusively for Toyota Altezza owners, held its first get-together at
Michi Supercenter on Washington Boulevard, St Andrew, on Sunday.
“There was a huge demand from both new and old owners, so we decided to relaunch the group,” said Elvis Byfield, Tezzaworld president.
The club, originally started in 2005 to help support the burgeoning Toyota Altezza population, was restarted in June of this year. The new thrust has brought 30 members from around the island back into the fold.
“Right now we’re just trying to poll the membership back together with events every quarter,” said vice-president Rolairoeu Folkes.
Tezzaworld members not only enjoy the camaraderie the club provides, but several benefits such as a Digicel Closed User Group (CUG) and discounts at various establishments. The club also hopes to leave what it calls a ‘social footprint’.
“Once membership is where we need it to be, we plan to work with a charity,” Byfield said.
