THIS year has definitely been great for gospel sensation Jermaine Edwards after releasing his fourth studio album, Hide Away earlier this year. Edwards, a front man in Jamaica’s gospel music, has been diving head-on into the music industry both locally and internationally.

This artiste has created an amazing buzz about his music and prolific song-writing, so much so that Digicel has agreed to sign him on for a second year as one of their ambassadors for 2012-2013.

In an interview with Press Record, Edwards stated, “Never at all would I imagine that I would be signed for a second year, seeing that I never did as much to represent the brand last year as I would want to. But they had faith in me and I am grateful.”

He also alluded to the fact that this opportunity has changed his perspective on the business and marketing aspect of his ministry and life in general.

Edwards’ message to those who wants to be musicians is quite frank: “If you want to have longevity in the gospel music industry, you must have a great relationship with God. Make your music material as relatable and relevant as possible.”
