BUSY Signal has dropped his first single since being released from prison in the United States last week.

The track is Come Shock Out. It is produced by his manager Shane Brown.

In an interview this week, Busy Signal revealed that while he was incarcerated, song ideas flowed through his head. Those ideas, he said, will be transformed into music over the next couple of months.

Push and Shove, the artiste’s collaboration with rock band No Doubt, has been making the rounds on American pop radio.

Busy Signal was given a two-month prison sentence in Minnesota in September. He was arrested by Federal agents at the Norman Manley International Airport in May and, after waiving his extradition rights, flown to the US on June 20.

Federal authorities said Busy Signal fled the US in October, 2002 while awaiting sentencing for a drug-related charge.

He has released four albums to date. His latest, Reggae Music Again (VP Records) was released on April 24. It peaked at number five on Billboard’s Reggae Album chart.

Flippa drops Raw Money

Raw Money is the latest project from Flippa Mogella’s Flip Money Records.

The rhythm was created by Big Ship’s Stephen McGregor and features songs from acts including Assassin, Capleton, Aidonia and I Octane.

This is the second beat released by the artiste’s label, whose most recent song is We a Mogella.

Flippa has not performed in Jamaica in two years, but is set to make a return at Sting on Boxing Day.

“I’m planning a welcome- home performance for the fans. I’m going to give the people some of what they have been missing because right now the dancehall is short of the flossing and champagne flavour, Flippa said.

The self-styled ‘Flossing King’ gained notoriety as Flippa Mafia. He is known for chart-topping singles including Dem Ya, Unfinished House and Star a Star.

On December 30, Flippa will host ‘The Return of the Flossing King’ party at Oneil’s Place on Hagley Park Road in Kingston.

Keithus I releases video for This Life

Roots-reggae singer Keithus I is gearing up for the release of his self-produced debut album, This Life. So far, he has released two singles from the album, the title track and Twisted.

“These are two very good songs and people really love them. Every time they are played they get good response,” said Keithus I.

He recently released the video for the song which was filmed in New York and his home base of Connecticut.

“I’m getting ready to put out the video for Twisted, we did this one in Jamaica recently and really put some serious work into it. It was shot on location in Kingston and parts of Portmore,” he said.
