DEEJAY Ninjaman is promising to ‘level’ the Jamworld Entertainment Complex in Portmore, St Catherine, during this year’s staging of Sting — the popular one-night dancehall music festival.

The popular artiste delivered what could be considered a prelude to his December 26 performance at the launch of the event on Wednesday evening at the Wyndham Kingston Hotel.

Invited to say a few words by Supreme Promotions director Howard McIntosh, Ninjaman, who is currently out on bail, took the microphone and started spouting lyrics reminiscent of his heyday.

He started with a tune aimed at Sting’s head honcho Isaiah Laing regarding a statement about replacing him (Ninjaman) on Sting 2012. He then segued into a popular track, Killing in the Dancehall which drew peals of laughter and ‘salutes’ from those gathered.

“Mi a come fi give people what dem nuh get fi years since me deh a prison. Mi a come fi murder Jamworld and resign,” Ninjaman declared before exiting the stage.

At Wednesday’s event it was also announced that Busy Signal will be making his first appearance there, since being released from prison.

Busy Signal will perform as part of the 12 disciples of dancehall, which also comprises Tommy Lee Sparta, Aidonia, Sizzla, Popcaan, Ninjaman, Kiprich, Mavado, Khago, I-Wayne. Tony Matterhorn and the lone female, Spice.

Other acts advertised include Romain Virgo, Lady G, Chuck Fenda, Gyptian, George Nooks, John Holt and Iba Mahr.

This year marks the 29th staging of Sting, which is being held under the theme, ‘The Truth’.
