Pay NTCS in honour of Millwood

“Justice delayed is justice denied”. Poor Ezroy Millwood fought tirelessly for the rights of poor bus operators whose contracts were prematurely ended by the PNP government in 2001, then led by PJ Patterson.
Having gone through arbitration, the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and the United Kingdom-based Judicial Committee of the Privy Council for over a decade, he was finally given an award for compensation.
The Bruce Golding government was looking for money to pay Mr Millwood, but after the JLP loss in 2011 the PNP government once again signalled their intention to drag the NTCS through the courts. What an uncaring set they are! Why is it that they are hell-bent on denying that organisation the justice they deserve by their legal manoeuvrings?
In honour of this man’s life they should drop their case and pay the organisation the money it truly deserves. This case has been dragging on for far too long, so much so that Mr Millwood answered his Master’s call before the “tortoise justice system” delivered.
My sincere sympathy and condolence to his family and to members of his organisation. He has done great service to this country and those whom he represented. I hope the organisation will relentlessly continue the fight for justice.
