Gift wrapping
A really big part of Christmas is gift-giving, and I strongly believe that the intrigue should start with the gift wrap, so I always go the extra mile in wrapping my gifts with a little extra love and care. This year it started with getting personalised wrapping paper — bright and cheery for kids — that tells the recipient just who the gift-giver is. These can be ordered online or designed by you and printed at a printery.
Today we look at a few different looks and ideas, incorporating ribbons, bows, candy canes and beautiful tags.
Look 1 is all for the kids, from the kids, for their little cousins and friends, and features a personalised Christmas candy wrapping paper. So these gifts are finished with colourful ribbons in the same colours and candy canes to finish. This wrapping paper was bought in both red and white; however, for this large gift I only had small pieces of both left so I combined them. This is a great idea to use up leftover scraps of paper, just be sure that the colours and/or prints are complementary.
Look 2 is small and sweet. A tiny box wrapped in a red and silver harlequin print, but this look is all about the tag, a sweet dove finishes it with Christmas cheer.
Look 3 is all about the tags. Find the large, luxurious and beautiful tags that make such a bold statement. In non-traditional holiday colours I kept the paper in a solid gold, and accented it with a baby blue ribbon, by picking up the blue in the card.
Look 4 incorporates holiday colours and traditions with the personalised Christmas tree paper that was dressed up by gluing on a poinsettia.
Look 5 is all shimmer and luxe. A beautiful black and silver paisley paper, finished with a large silver bow and a luxurious hangtag. The beauty truly is in the wrap in this case.
Merry, Merry Christmas to you and your family and enjoy your gifts… and their wrapping paper!
