APPLIANCE Traders Limited (ATL), the flagship business of the ATL Group of companies, has expanded its reach into online retail, launching its dynamic, new e-commerce website www.atljamaica.com.

The site will act as the company’s fifth point of sale location adding to its existing brick-and-mortar stores located in Kingston, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.

Ian Neita, ATL Group’s assistant deputy chairman, said the ATL website was completely redesigned to facilitate e-commerce.

“It will serve as a 24-hour access point for our customers with options for islandwide delivery or in-store pickup,” said Neita.

Along with enabling product sales across its four divisions — Home, Business, Industrial and Parts Plus, customers will also have the unique option to schedule installation and service requests with a click of a mouse.

“ATL is synonymous with service. It’s at the heart of what we do so in addition to offering a range of products across the site, we decided to also make readily available our trademark service commodity,” said Neita.

With online exclusives and subscriber specials to a database of almost one hundred thousand, Neita believes that the new site will drum up business not only in the local market but also the Jamaican Diaspora.

“This website has been long in the making and will certainly boost our profile amongst the Diaspora as they are now able to make purchases for their families in Jamaica with ease. It is a key strategy point for ATL and will bolster sales across additional markets,” he said.

Although the primary function will be sales, the site will also promote ATL’s other key areas of business. It will be a tactical source of information on the specialist areas for the company such as energy, business and industrial solutions, said the assistant deputy chairman.

“The website is without a doubt, the best in its class offering the most comprehensive retail service in Jamaica,” said Neita.

The interactive website also hosts several other features such as ‘wish lists’ where customers may save and share with their family and friends; user product reviews; easy navigation and functionalities; service specialists consultations; helpful training videos and appliance care tips as well as direct links to the ATL Blog and social media pages.
