Water disruption in St Catherine and St Andrew
KINGSTON, Jamaica — St Catherine and St Andrew residents are currently experiencing water disruptions due to technical issues, the National Water Commission (NWC) said in a release today.
Electrical repairs are being done to the Forrest Hills Water System in St Andrew, affecting numerous communities.
St Andrew communities of Rock Pond, Red Hills, Brentwood, East Kirkland Heights, Belvedere, Mosquito Valley, Burnside Valley, Sterling Castle, Sterling Castle Heights, Forest Hills, Perkins Boulevard, Meadowbrook Estate and Leas Flats are affected.
Meanwhile, the Green Acres Well in St Catherine has a broken main on its distribution network.
Affected areas include: Green Acres, Bendon, Bellevue Heights, St John’s Meadows, Mercury Gardens, Johnson Pen, St John’s Heights, Bellwood housing scheme, Bertram Close, Bellevue Drive, Ebony Drive and Dovecot.
The NWC says it’s trying to restore regular supply in both areas later today.
