Sandals/Montego Bay Marine Park partnership exposes students to local wetlands
ON Saturday, February 2, in observance of World Wetlands Day, students from the Cornwall College Science and Environmental club and Sandals Green Team members took time out for an up close look at wetlands and their importance to the natural environment.
The group was engaged by representatives from the Montego Bay Marine Park in a detailed presentation on wetlands then treated to a tour of Montego Bay’s most important wetland — the Bogue Lagoon.
The day’s activity provided an opportunity for students and team members from Sandals Montego Bay-based resorts (Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Caribbean and Sandals Carlyle) to learn, share and appreciate the natural beauty and diversity of the rich environment located in their own back yards.
