New credit card to help businesses, says CIBC FirstCaribbean
CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank has introduced a new credit card that it anticipates will boost businesses across the region.
The bizline Visa Business Credit Card, launched last week, offers users rewards which can be redeemed for travel, merchandise and cash back towards business objectives. The financial institution said Visa benefits include virtual advisor business assistance, travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance and travel assistance.
“Businesses are also expected to benefit considerably from the comprehensive account statements, payment options, unlimited additional employee cards and other special features of bizline credit card,” said Owen Francis, district manager for CIBC FirstCaribbean Retail Banking.
The bizline credit card is available from CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank branches across the region, he said.
The introduction of the bizline credit card follows the November launch of the “CIBC FirstCaribbean Rewards Programme”, which allows Gold and VISA Classic Credit Card clients to earn loyalty points with every purchase they make.
All purchases made by card holders earn points which can be redeemed for cash back to the credit card account, merchandise, airline tickets and other travel rewards. Cardholders also earn one point for each US$1 spent, or the local equivalent and can redeem their points with a vast number of online international retailers, the bank said.
In addition, CIBC FirstCaribbean VISA Classic and VISA Gold cardholders are able to donate their points to notable local charities. Once the points have been donated, the charity may redeem them for cash, thus the CIBC FirstCaribbean Rewards Programme affords customers a universal way to invest in their respective causes.
CIBC FirstCaribbean has over 100 branches, banking centres and offices in 17 regional markets across the Caribbean and the world.
