Shortwood United joined August Town atop of the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Jamaica National Super League following their 1-0 win over Allman/Woodford over the weekend.

Shortwood United with their seventh win from 10 matches, moved to 23 points, the same as August Town, but second on goal average.

UWI, who defeated August Town 2-0, climbed into fourth spot on 18 points, the same as third-placed Rae Town, who blanked Rockfort 2-0.

Barbican, who registered the biggest margin of victory with a 4-0 thrashing of Police National, are fifth on 16 points.

In other results, Mountain View and Greenwich Town battled to a 0-0 draw, and Santos clipped Olympic Gardens 2-1.

Allman/Woodford are sixth on 11 points, but from nine games, while both Mountain View and Santos are on 11 points, but from 10 games.

Rockfort, in ninth spot on 10 points, are just ahead of Greenwich Town and Police National, with nine points each, and Olympic Gardens, with five points, rooted at the bottom.

In the Hi-Lyte Major League, Real Mona and Bull Bay continue to lead Zone A and Zone B, respectively. Real Mona, who whipped Cooreville Gardens 4-0, are on top with 30 points ahead of Brown’s Town on 26 points after being held to a 1-1 draw by Pembroke Hall.

Constant Spring consolidated third spot in the zone on 24 points with a 2-0 blanking of Molynes United, who are fourth with 14 points. Cooreville Gardens are fifth with 12 points ahead of bottom-placed Pembroke Hall on 10 points.

In Zone B, Bull Bay are out front on 31 points despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Meadforest and are four points clear of Maxfield Park, who played to a 0-0 draw with third-placed New Kingston on 19 points. Meadforest are fifth with 16 points ahead of Swallowfield on four points at the bottom.

In the Syd Bartlett competition, guest team Jamaica Under-17s are streaking away from the pack, establishing a nine-point lead following their 2-0 win over Red Hills.

In the only other game played over the weekend, Seaview Gardens and Central Kingston played to a 0-0 draw.

So after 11 games, Jamaica Under-17s are on 31 points ahead of Whitfield Town on 22 points, and Central Kingston in third with 15. Red Hills FC are fourth with 12 points, but from 10 games, just ahead of Seaview with 11 points, Maverley on 10, and Stony Hill bringing up the rear with two points.
