OMG girl clothing collection unveiled
TWO Saturdays ago, the OMG! girl 2013 Spring Collection was officially unveiled on the grounds of OMG! Clothing — 11 Braemar Avenue — where models, ranging from ages seven to 13 years donned 18 different looks from the collection and slippers from Ipanema.
This OMG! girl Clothing Collection was created by owner of OMG! Clothing, Gillian Zacca and designer, Arlene Martin of Drenna Luna.
And the girls are super excited to showcase some of the looks.
“When I ask my grandma and mom where they get my clothes from, they’re like, ‘This new store, OMG! Clothing’,” a 12-year-old fashionista said smiling to teenAGE. “So I’m really excited to see the new line and to get new clothes from here.”
This quote captures the sentiments of all who were present at the unveiling of the collection.
“I’ve been working with these youngsters for four years now,” Zacca shared. “And really, I was inspired by how they articulate their fashion sense.”
This led to designing a capsule wardrobe that gives young girls the liberty to go from one basic foundation to whatever speaks to them, whether casual or formal.
Martin shared that this line was designed through the vision that Zacca had and that the “pieces offer versatility in order for the girls to pick and choose. There are a number of tops they can wear with shorts and denims, which are not part of OMG! girl, but are available at the OMG! store”.
With this collection, young fashionistas can experiment with tops, rompers and dresses made using knits, chiffon and lace to create a bold, fun and exciting wardrobe that captures their unique style and juvenescence.
“I think it’s very fresh and colourful,” a satisfied mother of two told teenAGE after the models had successfully whetted the audience’s appetite. “It expresses young girls’ exuberance and the tops are really pretty.”
By the look of pure appreciation on the faces of the parents and the gasps of sheer delight that escaped from the lips of their daughters, OMG! girl is sure to be a hit with its bold colours, and trendy, yet classic looks.
