Tuff Gong goes on the record
The Tuff Gong Group of Companies will observe International Record Store Day on April 20 at its Marcus Garvey Drive complex.
“We are excited to participate in International Record Store Day because it’s all about celebrating the relationship between music and the people who love music. The support of both our retail and wholesale clients is valuable to us, and this day is for them to come and enjoy,” said the label’s publicist, Myshjua Archibald.
Since 2007, International Record Store Day has been celebrated by record companies on the third Saturday in April.
It was conceived to recognise the importance of the independent record store to the music industry.
This is Tuff Gong’s first year in the event.
“We will devote the time to showing appreciation for our customers who support all genres of music. Special flash sales of some of the hottest artistes in the world including Bruno Mars, Mindless Behaviour, Maroon 5, Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj and FloRida,” Archibald said.
