Fascinators and pearls are order of the day at Thatcher’s funeral in St Paul’s Cathedral

People Post

Demure, simple styles, pearls, fascinators and pillbox hats were the order of the day as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip joined some 2,300 guests in St Paul’s Cathedral for the funeral of former British Prime Minister Baroness Thatcher yesterday. Ahead of the Queen and Prince Philip, Sarah, Duchess of York, opera singer Katherine Jenkins, Jeremy Clarkson and Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha were among the first to arrive at the cathedral for the service, at which Lady Thatcher’s granddaughter Amanda, daughter of Sir Mark Thatcher, gave a reading.
