The Elasticity Test by Sophia Young

The hair elasticity test measures how much the hair will stretch and return to its normal state. According to Sophia Young, manager of Beau Cheveux, the elasticity test tells the hair professional which relaxer to use and how to care for the client’s hair. Hair elasticity is rated low, normal and high. Hair elasticity with a rating of normal and high is easily styled with relaxers, wet-roller sets, etc. However, when the hair elasticity rating is low, curling the hair may prove difficult.
