The 4th annual business house beach volleyball on today
THE Annual Business House Beach Volleyball competition, titled the ‘CSports Sand-Slam 4’ is set to blaze at Barbican Sports Complex today.
The games are scheduled to begin at 9:00 am. The CSports Sand-Slam 4 features a day full of excitement from some of Jamaica’s best corporate volleyball teams. In previous years, the competition has seen teams such as Camperdown Teachers, the 2012 defending champions, JUTC, BOJ, NWC, UWI Staff, and JDF, among others, participating.
A great way to spend time with the family on Mother’s Day, the beach volleyball competition is open to the public, free of cost. Team supporters, employees and volleyball enthusiasts alike, are encouraged to come out and enjoy this thrilling competition.
A growing number of teams have already registered for today’s 4-a-side competition. Each team must have both male and female players on the court. In the first round, teams will play against each other in a double elimination round; those losing more than one match will not advance to the finals. The teams will be competing for the annual trophy to the first place winner; awards also go to the second and third ranked teams.
The one-day beach volleyball tournament presented by CSports will be sponsored in part by Supreme Ventures Limited and the Barbican Beach Complex at 15 East Kings House Road.
