Select Brands, the distributors of Stolichnaya vodka, organised the exciting Stolichnaya Jamaica Cocktail Master Competition, which was held on May 7, at G’s Sports Bar and Grill in the Mosino Gaming Lounge, MegaMart Montego Bay. The event afforded specially invited bartenders from leading bars and hotels on the north coast, such as Sandals Resorts International, Half Moon, Margaritaville and Hedonism II the opportunity to vy for a $20,000 cash prize and a bottle of ultra-premium Stoli Elit vodka.

And with the categories being originality, taste and presentation, there was naturally an abundance of visually appealing and unique cocktail blends, many of which utilised natural ingredients such as moringa, breadfruit and mint. Anthony Drummond of Sandals Whitehouse emerged victorious from the talented pool for his Stoli Kiwi Peppermint Martini; made with kiwi, granulated sugar, lime wedges, mint leaves and his specially created pepper-infused Stolichnaya vodka.

Drummond will go on to represent Jamaica at the Stoli Most Original Cocktail Master Competition at Half Moon hotel later this month.
