Portmore lock-up escapee recaptured
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Another of five prisoners who escaped from the Portmore lock-up in April was recaptured on Wednesday.
Ronaldo Thompson was arrested during a raid in the Boise Content area in Old Harbour, St Catherine.
Thompson, who is from March Pen Road in the parish, is charged with illegal possession of a firearm.
Another escapee, Lance Nicholson, was caught on April 5, two days after the five made their getaway. At the time, the police said the men were able to cut their way out of cells at the lock-up.
Still at large are: Alvae Smith of Point Hill, St Catherine – larceny of motor vehicle; Shannon Campbell of 10 Marl Road, Gordon Pen, Spanish Town — murder; and Mario Duhaney of Lime Lane, Newlands in Portmore — illegal possession of firearm.
