From Yale to Stanford — Versan graduates take on top overseas universities
VERSAN Educational Services, the leader in the education and training of students for international school placements, is celebrating its top students who have earned places in schools abroad.
Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) top scorers Jodecia Elliot (Montego Bay High School) was accepted to The MacDuffie School, a top private international high school in Massachusetts; while Alex Marie Roberts (St Joseph’s, Dominica) was accepted to the highly selective Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire and the prestigious Andover Phillips Academy in Massachusetts.
Nereese Watson (Campion College), was accepted at Milton Academy, also in Massachusetts.
Versan said five of its top SAT scorers have also been accepted to top universities.
They are Aaron Johnson (Campion College), who was accepted to University of Pennsylvania, Lafayette University, Wesleyan University, and Macalester College; Andre Archer (Ardenne High School), who was accepted to Macalester University, Worcester Polytechnic University, and Nottingham University in the UK; Brian Royes, who was accepted to Amherst College, Wesleyan University and Howard University; David Barnes (Ardenne High’s head boy), who was also Versan’s top student for the year, and who was accepted to Yale University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and Erin Cohen (Western Reserve, Ohio), who was accepted to Scripps College, Stanford, University of Miami, and University of the West Indies law school.
Top graduate students were Michelle Harrison, who was accepted to Harvard University, University of Rochester, and University of California for graduate studies in education; and Michka Sharp, who was also accepted to Harvard University, Cornell University, Cambridge University and Johns Hopkins University on full scholarship in molecular biology.
Rachel Brown was also accepted to Pepperdine University and Wake Forest law schools and GMAT student Drew Grey made University of Notre Dame’s MBA programme.
Versan celebrated with the students at a recent farewell ceremony.
