Kapachi keeps music positive
SINCE he began recording in 2007, singjay Kapachi has been committed to making positive music.
He stays that course on his latest songs, Wanted and Blazing Fire.
The artiste, who is from the town of Christiana in Manchester, says he is determined to make a difference.
“I am bringing righteousness, good music and something new to the table. This journey hasn’t been an easy one. It has been a lot of hard work, but I hope to make an impact some day,” Kapachi says.
Born Winston Bailey, the 39-year-old artiste grew up in Manchester when there was a musical explosion in that parish.
Singer Garnet Silk and deejays Tony Rebel and General Degree were some of the rising acts in the early 1990s when Kapachi first considered a music career.
He made his debut six years ago with Wonderful Morning, which was followed by Rock it Steady and It Get Red.
Kapachi is currently working with Team Up RGC Productions.
