Construction worker shot dead in Ritchies, Clarendon
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — The Spalding police have launched an investigation into the shooting death of a construction worker on Independence night (August 6).
Dead is Othneil Powell, 57, of Ritchies, in North West Clarendon.
Police reports are that Powell was at a bar in Reaches having drinks with friends when two men with guns entered and robbed patrons.
While fleeing one of the gunmen reportedly fired a shot, which hit Powell in the right side of the back. He died at the Percy Junor Hospital.
