Alkaline impresses at Reggae Sumfest
RISING dancehall star Alkaline impressed the thousands who attended the recent staging of Reggae Sumfest Dancehall Night in Montego Bay.
The lanky 19-year-old deejay is still reeling from the admiration he got from fans and the media alike.
“Reggae Sumfest was a good experience for me and I am very happy with my performance. It was my first time and it almost felt like I had done it all before,” Alkaline said in a release to the media.
Alkaline’s performance was laced with crowd pleasers including Get Rid Of, Church Folks, Things Mi Love, and More Than A Friend.
“The response from the crowd was incredible, especially the ladies. I can only imagine what it would have been like if I had gotten the opportunity to perform at a later time,” he noted.
In the wake of his Reggae Sumfest performance, Alkaline, whose latest single Things Me Love has been creating waves, continues to work tirelessly in the studio compiling a number of recordings.
“I have a number of songs to be released and I have a mixtape coming out, but it is definitely something to look out for,” Alkaline revealed.
Commenting on the song Things Me Love, Alkaline said; “The response to the song has been great and it reflects what happens in every day relationships. It shows all sides to love, the good and the bad and the ugly. I think that is one of the reasons why people gravitate towards the song.”
