Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster loses custody battle for sons

People Post

Usher and his ex-wife appeared to make peace in court last Friday after a bitter custody war over their two sons.

The singer gave tearful Tameka Foster Raymond a consoling hug moments after she lost her bid to get temporary primary custody of Usher V, five, and Naviyd, four, in a hearing in Atlanta.

She sought legal action after the pair’s older child got caught in a pool drain while in the care of the Grammy winner’s aunt last Monday. She alleged the children were in a ‘dangerous environment’.

But the judge described the incident as an ‘awful accident’ and dismissed the case.

The courtroom showdown between the former couple took a surprising turn, with Usher extending the proverbial olive branch to a distraught Raymond by embracing her.

The 34-year-old R&B star tentatively approached, before placing his hand on her shoulder.

Raymond  whose 11-year-old son Kile, from a previous relationship, tragically died in a jet ski accident last year – turned to him as he pulled her in for an embrace of apparent sympathy after what has been a very stressful week for the two parents.

Usher’s aunt, Rena Oden, was looking after the children on the day of the pool accident.

Before dismissing the case, Fulton County Superior Court Judge John Goger said he wasn’t certain anyone really could have done anything to prevent the accident. But he also advised Usher to keep his ex-wife well advised of his whereabouts and who’s taking care of the children.

Kourtney Kardashian facing joint custody bid from male model

Kourtney Kardashian is facing a lawsuit from a model who claims he is her son’s biological father.

Michael Girgenti alleges he had unprotected sex with the reality TV star after they met on a photoshoot in August 2008 and has filed paperwork at Los Angeles County Superior Court in a bid to get joint custody of her three-year-old child, Mason.

According to gossip website TMZ.com, Michael wants the judge to order DNA tests for Kourtney, Mason and her long-term boyfriend Scott Disick, – who is also father to her daughter Penelope, 13 months.

A hearing has been set for next month.

The lawsuit documents the alleged relationship between Kourtney and Michael, which he claims heated up in March 2009, when she told him her relationship with Scott was ‘on the outs’ and ‘she wanted to hang’.

Kourtney who in March was said to be ‘furious’ over Girgenti’s claims has yet to comment personally on the fresh allegations. And her spokeswoman has not responded to requests for comment.

However, her lawyer told TMZ.com on Friday that Girgenti’s allegations are ‘absurd’.

“This individual has been selling false and fabricated stories to the tabloids for years about Kourtney Kardashian and her son, Mason. Scott Disick is Mason’s father,” Todd Wilson told the website.

“We have not seen the reported court filing, but we are informed that this individual has been seeking to get paid to publish his ridiculous pleading.

“His claims are absurd and this is simply another shameful attempt to gain publicity and profit from fictional stories about my client.”

Sylvester Stallone taps Mel Gibson and Antonio Banderas for Expendables 3

Bruce Willis might be out, but here come two fresh additions to the Expendables 3 bandwagon: Mel Gibson and Antonio Banderas.

The news comes via series star and writer Sylvester Stallone, who also directed and co-wrote the first instalment and resumed co-writing duties on the second.

Gibson is confirmed to play the baddie in the upcoming sequel, Stallone told Entertainment Weekly, while Banderas’ role is still up in the air.

Stallone certainly seems keen on giving the Spanish actor an exciting platform to work on, however, calling Banderas ‘a consummate actor and a gentleman’ in his statement to EW.

And that’s in sharp contrast to the Rocky star’s judgement of Willis, whom Stallone took off the project after Willis reportedly asked for $4 million in pay for just four days of shooting.

Stallone even took to Twitter to slam Willis in a thinly veiled comment: ‘GREEDY AND LAZY …… A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE,’ he wrote.

If Willis is headed toward ‘career failure’ it appears as though Gibson is going the other way, slowly building a comeback.

Though his erratic behaviour, alcohol problems and run-ins with the law in 2006 made him the butt of many jokes, Gibson earned praise for pursuing self-help programmes and mending his shattered public persona.

He then worked on a string of warmly received films, most recently starring in Jodie Foster’s 2011 dramedy The Beaver and 2012 thriller Get the Gringo, which he also co-wrote.
