Manchester woman killed in house fire
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Fire claimed the life of a 54-year-old woman and damaged her two-bedroom concrete house near Mandeville, Manchester Saturday morning.
The Spaulding Police say that about 10:15 am Pauline Thomas, otherwise called ‘Precious’ was at home when neighbours saw smoke coming from the roof her house. According to reports neighbours then forced open a door to the house, but were prevented from entering by fire. The Police and Fire Brigade were contacted and on their arrival Thomas’ body was found with severe burns on the floor of a room.
The house was not insured.
