Miss Jamaica World 2013 contestant Jenaae Jackson recorded another set of go-karting victories at the Palisadoes International Raceway in Kingston last Sunday.

“I am just doing what I do best,” Jackson, who had returned to the track for a second series of demonstration races during the breaks at the Jamaica Karting Association’s meet, told Auto.

The beauty queens were last there on July 14.

Jackson and other contestants, including Gina Hargitay — the newly crowned Miss Jamaica World — were furnished with safety gear courtesy, of Rae Racing, which also provided the karts.

“These smaller rental karts have just over six horsepower and are capable of up to 45 miles per hour,” said Peter Rae of Rae Racing.

The first race took place during the event’s lunch break. With a reverse grid from slowest to fastest, Jackson shot off the grid from third to eventually take the race lead. Her previous on-track rival, Paige Smith, was unable to overcome early race incidents and once again came second. Sara-K Webley rounded off the podium.

In race two, Webley led the race as early spins sent Jackson and Smith to the back of the pack. However, Jackson charged back from the rear of the racing pack to remain undefeated.

Given her level of success and enjoyment, Jackson said she may add karting to her list of hobbies.
