First look at Gina Gershon as Donatella Versace
Gina Gershon, with her chestnut brown hair and dark features, seemed an unlikely choice to play fashion’s pouty platinum blond rock star, Donatella Versace.
But with skillfully applied make-up and some cotton stuffed under her upper lips, the actress’ startling transformation for Lifetime’s TV movie, House of Versace, is as captivating as it is convincing.
The 51-year-old’s nose, for example, was ‘reshaped using highlight and shadow,’ the movie’s make-up artist, Kathy Kelso, told The New York Post.
It chronicles the aftermath of the shocking 1997 murder of the designer’s brother, Gianni Versace, when Donatella, now 58, was quickly thrust into the spotlight as Versace’s head designer — where she subsequently struggled with drug abuse and near bankruptcy.
Gershon, best known for her roles in the cult hit, Showgirls, as well as films P.S. I Love You and Face/Off, wears a blond wig and ‘lots of eyeshadow’ for her role as the iconic fashion designer.
‘She goes through an evolution – she physically changes, as we all know, and it was important to be as truthful about that as possible,’ Ms Gershon told The Post.

Christina Aguilera gives a glimpse of her slimmed-down body
She’s worked hard to get her body in shape and it seems Christina Aguilera is eager to show off the results. The 32-year-old pop star, whose weight has fluctuated over the years, gave a glimpse of her toned tummy after unbuttoning her white shirt to reveal her bra for the new cover of US Maxim.
In the accompanying interview, she insists she can feel attractive in anything and doesn’t need to get dressed up to feel sexy for her man Matthew Rutler.
She said: ‘I’m such a down-to-earth girl, I’m comfortable in just a jersey and boy’s underwear. Trying too hard to be sexy is the worst thing you can do. Sexiness should be effortless.’

Thigh-high fashion!
She has steadily become one of the most fashion-conscious stars on the red carpet in recent years.
However, Scandal actress Kerry Washington has admitted that her look has been carefully constructed for her career, and claims to be a novice when it comes to designer labels.
In a stunning shoot with this month’s Glamour magazine, the 36-year-old star revealed she had to ring her friend to ask how to pronounce the French fashion house Hermès.
“There were a couple of actresses who I felt were having the upper hand careerwise – because they knew how to work that red carpet,” Kerry revealed, talking about her early days in the business.
“So I sort of developed a new character: Red-Carpet Kerry.” She added: “I was doing library hours on fashion. And then it happened – I was in love.”
