‘Home’, Sweet Home

Observer Managing Director Danville Walker’s well-appointed Upper Cherry Gardens home gave guests a taste of Hollywood last Thursday evening, as island son-turned-big screen actor Lyriq Bent was feted at a fab dinner party catered by Jacqui Tyson. The ladies were visibly flushed in the presence of the handsome, gracious celeb who vividly recalled childhood memories growing up in Clarendon, where a kerosene lamp and not electricity was his source of light.

Between sips of J Wray and Nephew libations and bites of Tyson’s Jamaican comfort fare which included Bent’s fave oxtail, guests got behind-the-scenes insight into the making of the film Home Again from Bent, his co-star Kadeem Wilson, a Rock-based actor, and executive producer Lisa Wickham. SO shares scenes.
