Broken water main flooding Barbican community
BARBICAN, St Andrew — A broken pipe along Lloyd’s Way in the Barbican, St Andrew community is causing major problems for residents.
Residents complain that for three days the constant flow of water from the National Water Commission (NWC) pipeline has left large pools of water in front of their homes.
“What has made the problem worse is the fact that with all this water being wasted residents are without water in their homes,” said Bill Johnson who has lived in the area for close to 40 years.
“This is really a major concern and we want the authorities to address the problem as quickly as possible,” agreed Derrick Blair Snr, another Lloyd’s Way resident.
