Simply Irresistible
A gastronomic nirvana occupied space on the lawns of Jamaica House last Friday as foodies and wine connoisseurs turned out in expectant droves for the Simply Red Wine and Food Festival. The annual event, hosted by the Heart Foundation of Jamaica, adopted the theme: ‘Eat what you grow, grow what you eat’, and saw participation from the island’s top chefs as well as visiting guest chefs Steve ‘Nookie’ Postal of Bravo’s Around the World in 80 Plates, Ed Doyle and KC O’Hara of RealFood Consulting. The impressive calibre of culinary talent whipped up an array of scrumptious bites that had all-too-eager patrons scouting their next food stop. A host of alcoholic purveyors from Grace Wines and J Wray and Nephew to Rum Fire and The Wine Shop were on hand to pour glasses of their favoured brands. Thursday Life shares scenes.
