Perfect Neighbour gives command performance
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – In what can only be described as a truly great performance, three-year-old Perfect Neighbour dismantled his six rivals to post a six-length victory in the 10-furlong 54th running of the Governor General Stakes at Caymanas Park in St Catherine, Saturday.
Ridden by Dick Cardenas, Perfect Neighbour stalked rivals for most of the race before making an electrifying move after passing the three-furlong marker. He skittered away in the straight to record a rather facile win in a fast 2:06.3 minutes. Second was stablemate Kal Kal with third going to Raging Prospect.
Cardenas continued his great form with a triple on the day, all for trainer Wayne DaCosta. Their other winners were Lady Celtic and Trail Blazer.
