THERE is enough room for one more declared Chris Gayle as he officially opened his Triple Century 333 Sports Bar and Restaurant last Wednesday night.

The newest sports bar is located on Knutsford Boulevard at a location, which was previously home to the Godfather nightclub and in recent times the Asylum club. It is just around the corner from Cuddyz Sports Bar owned by another cricketing icon, Courtney Walsh.

Gayle, one of the most explosive batsmen of all time, welcomed everyone before cutting the ribbon to officially open the chill out spot.

“I don’t want to single out anyone, but a lot of big names and legends are here,” said Gayle.

“People will speculate that Chris and Cuddy ago war, or Bolt, nothing like that. Just add it to your entertainment list,” he said.

“Cuddy, I will still come by you, no love lost.” Gayle reiterated.

Of course Ambassadors Walsh and Usain Bolt were in attendance, along with footballer Ricardo Gardner, West Indies president Dave Cameron and West Indies Women’s coach Sherwin Campbell of Barbados.

Gayle’s stylish Triple Century Sports Bar with several large 55-inch television sets strategically located around the bar has been endorsed by both Heineken and Digicel.

Nasha Douglas, Heineken’s brand manager said the sports bar is now one of their star bars.

“Once word was out that Gayle was opening a sports bar, Heineken had to be a part of it, being an international brand we totally aligned ourselves with Chris,” revealed Douglas.

“This is now a Heineken Star Bar, which means it’s the first for everything. If we are going to launch UEFA of which we are a global sponsor we are going to do it here because this is one of our Star Bars,” added Douglas.

Those who were lucky enough to experience the opening, which included a prayer from Digicel’s Tahnida Nunes, before the cutting of the ribbon, was also treated to finger food as a sample of what will be available at the restaurant.
