Taxi-man murdered in Padmore, might be case of mistaken identity – Police
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Police sources close to yesterday’s murder of a taxi-man in the rural St Andrew community of Padmore are intimating that the victim known as ‘Carlos’ might have been a case of mistaken identity.
The Police say that based on what they are putting together, it appears that the gunman was on the prowl to murder someone by the name Carlos and mistakenly murdered the wrong Carlos.
‘Carlos’, who drove a route taxi from Chancery Street to Padmore, was attacked and shot twice in the face by a passenger. After he was shot, Carlos ran approximately four hundred metres before collapsing on the side of the road.
