An eclectic mix of the nation’s leading ladies ushered in the 2013 edition of Salut! — our highly anticipated celebration of the nation’s finest caterers, with a luncheon in the executive boardroom of The Jamaica Observer Head Office, Kingston, Monday last.

Aptly titled “Women of Our Times”, the critically handpicked group enjoyed the exquisite fare of Jamaica Observer Table Talk Food Awards — Caterer of The Year Celeste Gordon, in between sips of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut or Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut Rosé, in a setting styled by event doyenne Ann Marie Wyss.

Drawing inspiration from Facebook Chief Operating Officer, Sheryl Sandberg’s new “feminist manifesto”, Lean In, the lunch hosted by Jamaica Observer Senior Associate Editor, Lifestyle and Social Content, Novia McDonald-Whyte and Head of Legal & Regulatory — LIME Rochelle Cameron and ably assisted by CGR PR Director Odette Dixon Neath gave 35 women the opportunity to Lean In, enjoy each other’s company, applaud each other’s success and of course gain valuable insight into the journey of each — we’ve got more in Sunday’s Style Observer; until then however, here’s the amazing fare.
