JPL T20 third round bowls off today
THE Jamaica Premier League Twenty20 (JPL T20) cricket tournament enters its third round today with three matches to be played across two venues.
At the Ultimate Cricket ground in Discovery Bay, St Ann, the Ocho Rios Chargers oppose Mandeville Thunders in the 9:30 am opening match.
Both the Chargers and the Thunders are without a point.
In the 1:30 pm feature game at the Ultimate venue, joint leaders Spanish Town Titans (six points) face MoBay Sixers (four).
In the lone match at Kensington Park in east Kingston, title-holders University Dynamites clash with Kingston Hurricanes at 1:30 pm.
The Dynamites have six points, while the Hurricanes are on one point.
In matches played in last Sunday’s second round, the Dynamites and the Titans recorded wins over the Chargers and the Thunders, respectively.
There was a no result between the Sixers and the Hurricanes due to rainy weather.
The competition continues into its fourth round tomorrow with three further games.
At the Treasure Beach Sports Complex in St Elizabeth, Mandeville Thunders challenge Kingston Hurricanes in the morning fixture, while in the afternoon, University Dynamites meet MoBay Sixers.
In the single encounter at Ultimate Cricket at 1:30 pm, Ocho Rios Chargers welcome Spanish Town Titans.
