Madonna and Sean Penn reunite for trip to Haiti

They’ve been divorced for over 20 years but Madonna and Sean Penn are still the greatest of friends as the chart-topper joined the actor for a trip to Haiti.

Madonna has flown out with her eldest son Rocco, 13 to support Sean’s J/P Haitian Relief Organisation in the Caribbean country which was devastated by the 2010 earthquake.

Insiders have reported that the former couple, who divorced in 1989, are enjoying a “lovely reunion” as they work together on projects in the country.

Penn, 53, has served as an ambassador-at-large for Haiti since early 2012, after founding his humanitarian group in the aftermath of the earthquake. The group has focused on housing and relocating thousands of people from impromptu settlements that formed after the disaster. This week Sean’s organisation welcomed another A-list ambassador, as Madonna, 55, flew out on Monday.

Sean confirmed Madonna is working alongside him during a brief phone call to The Associated Press. The actor revealed that he had invited his ex-wife, who has previously donated $250,000 to the relief effort, and that they have “maintained a great friendship over the years”.

“She’s here, she’s seeing, she’s made the effort to come here, and I’m thrilled by that… She has a unique platform, and wherever she chooses to bring that to, it’s very well,” the actor added.

Meanwhile a source has claimed to The Sun that the couple, who were in a volatile four-year marriage during the 80s, are enjoying their time together. “It’s quite a lovely reunion for them. They’re both working on charity projects they’re immensely passionate about and are enjoying each other’s company doing it”, the insider reports.

From one ex to the next

It seems that Rihanna just can’t stay away from her exes.

After making it rain at a strip club in Texas together over a week ago, the pop star and her former lover Drake were once again seen partying together at a Los Angeles nightclub.

The pair were pictured arriving at Bootsy Bellows at around 1:00 am on Tuesday morning after the rapper performed in concert at the Staples Center Downtown. The Take Care singer closed down the club so he could host a private after-party, which reportedly lasted until 4:30 am.

The 27-year-old was clearly in a celebratory mood, as he arrived at the bash already with a drink in his hand. Meanwhile, Rihanna made sure to look her very best for the night out with her ex, showing off plenty of skin in a pair of tiny denim Daisy Dukes and a white cropped top underneath a pale pink jacket. She elongated her slender legs even further by donning a pair of white strappy sandals on her feet.

The Diamonds singer, who scooped up two awards at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, was still rocking her slicked back ‘bed head’ hairstyle.

The Barbadian beauty’s new ‘do had already garnered a lot of buzz in the Twitterverse during the AMAs. RiRi had smoothed her black bob down with numerous bobby pins — a fuss-free style known as a ‘doobie wrap’ typically worn at night to keep relaxed hair neat while sleeping.
