POLICE in the St Catherine South Division are reporting that three motor vehicles were stolen from the Jamworld Entertainment Centre where the annual dancehall stage show Sting was held on Boxing Day, December 26.

An officer at the Waterford Police Station told the Jamaica Observer that the cars were stolen while patrons enjoyed the performances of the multitude of entertainers who were billed for the event, dubbed the Greatest One-Night Show On Earth.

The stolen cars were listed as a Honda Civic, a Toyota Wish and a Nissan Bluebird.

“We have seen a lot more cars stolen in former years at Sting. This year was better, apart from the three cars that were reported stolen. We hardly seized any contraband and the reports of persons being robbed were non-existent. It was one of the better years,” the policeman said.

While a number of artistes reportedly used a slew of expletives police report that none of them was arrested and charged for using obscene language.

In the meantime, a fiery lyrical clash between ‘Lady Saw’ and ‘Macka Diamond’ was criticised yesterday by some sectors of society as disgusting because of references to the female anatomy and sexual practices by the two DJs.

Perennial clash king ‘Kip Rich’ was dethroned by young upstart ‘Black Rhino’, who won the US$30,000-prize that was up for grabs.
