TeaTree Crêperie
If Carrie ‘Quizz’ Sigurdson and hubby Oliver Hardie are flashing wider-than-normal smiles, Thursday Life reckons that it’s relief coupled with satisfaction that their second Tea Tree Crêperie restaurant is up and running.
Tea Tree Crêperie Montego Bay opened on December 20, exactly two years after the enterprising duo and Quizz’s Cordon Bleu-trained chef mum Maree opened their Hillcrest Road, Kingston, location.
The reception has been positive,” shares Quizz. “Montegonians are extremely happy to have us in town and couldn’t be more welcoming.” Indeed, word-of-mouth has been instrumental in getting a wide cross-section of the city’s dwellers inside the 1200-sq ft restaurant (twice the size of the Kingston location) with a comfortable seating capacity of 35 downstairs.
And what are Montegonians craving? “The fastest-selling crêpes,” shares Quizz, “are the Chicken Caesar Crêpe and the Apple Crisp Crêpe.”
There’s more in store for the Second City, like the Treehouse Pub upstairs — an old English-style pub with a modern flair and fare to match — scheduled to open in a few months.
Tea Tree Crêperie’s website www.teatreecreperie.com offers full menu details, the restaurant’s history and contact info.
