Racing Commission’s disciplinary actions
The following are the announced disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 by the racing stewards.
Jockey Percival Williams who rode Miracle Star in the tenth race on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, was fined $8,000.00 for interference caused to Exotic Gold shortly after the start of the race.
Jockey Shamaree Muir who rode Raeven Renae in the ninth race on Saturday, January 18, 2014, was fined $4,000.00 for interference caused to Magic City leaving the 600-metre point.
Jockey Orlando Foster who rode Awesome Code in the fifth race on Saturday, January 28, 2014, was fined $3,000.00 for intimidation caused to Premium Return and Prince Oshaun in the final 200 metres.
