Singer Barrington Levy launches Rosie video
VETERAN singer Barrington Levy launched the music video for his latest single Rosie at South Beach Cafe on Lady Musgrave Road in St Andrew, on Thursday night.
“I released Rosie earlier this year and the video complements the single as songs nowadays do better when accompanied by a video. I will release another single later this year but an acoustic album will be released in 2015,” Levy said.
According to him, the set will feature well-known hits including Murderer, Black Roses and She’s Mine as well as several original tracks.
Allison McLean, who directed the video, said it was a learning experience working with Levy.
“He is a gentleman who is very dedicated to his work. This was a project with a difference and I really enjoyed working with Barrington Levy,” she said.
Keyboard player and musical arranger Handel Tucker, who has worked with Levy on the album, was full of praise for the singer’s professionalism.
“Working with Barrington on this acoustic album was an enjoyable experience. I seen him in the studio working, working and crafting the songs from scratch. He is a vintage artiste with an impeccable work ethic and this album is destined for great things,” Tucker said.
