Little Miami tag Seba 2-0 in St James Senior League
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Little Miami continued their upward progression in Zone B of the St James Football Association Sandals/ATL/Honda Senior League after blanking Seba FC 2-0 in their return-round game played at the UDC field on Tuesday.
The win was Little Miami’s third and moved them into second place on 12 points, four behind leaders Violet Kickers, both from eight games played, as all three games played on Tuesday ended in 2-0 results.
Fogo United extended their lead in Zone A after beating Seaview, snapping their good recent run, while Montego Bay United Under-21 also got the better of a badly slumping Melbourne FC.
After coming from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Violet Kickers on Friday, Little Miami tagged Seba FC 2-0 for the second time this year, as Dwayne Hemmings in the 19th minute and Alwayne Simmonds with his third goal of the season, in the 23rd minute, handed them victory.
At Flankers, Obrien Street scored twice in a 10-minute span in the second half, in the 67th and 77th minutes for Fogo to beat Seaview and move to 17 points.
At Albion, Melbourne’s woeful run continued as they were beaten by Montego Bay United Under-21, as Kavan Atkinson scored both goals, in the 15th and 43rd minutes to join Reggae Youths on 13 points in joint second place in Zone A behind Fogo United.
