Go-kart action this Sunday
THE competitive Jamaica Karting Association’s 2014 season continues this Sunday at Palisadoes International Raceway, Kingston, at 10:00 am.
It should be an action-packed day as the class favourites attempt to hold their leads ahead of closing rivals.
The majority of the racing will take place in three classes: entry-level 50cc, 80cc and Rotax Seniors.
Mattea Issa and Ryan Chisholm dominate 50cc and 80cc respectively. However, Ryan Lue has taken on the tough task of racing in both classes and has been able to put in creditable performances.
Rotax Seniors will benefit from Thomas Issa, who moved up into the class this year, up against another driver with international pedigree, Collin Daley Jr. Both had a good battle last meet before lap traffic came into play.
Fans can get in on the action by entering five-lap races for $500, using Rae Racing amateur karts during the programme breaks.
