Gas price up $1.95, diesel up 28 cents
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Petrojam, Jamaica’s sole oil refinery, has announced an increase in the ex-refinery price of gasoline, effective Thursday, April 10.
87- and 90-octane gasoline will be sold for $125.08 and $126.74 per litre, respectively, up by $1.95 each.
Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $126.42 per litre after an increase of 28 cents, while ultra-low sulphur diesel is down by 74 cents, and will be sold for $131.19 per litre.
Meanwhile, kerosene oil was decreased in price by 57 cents and will be sold for $127.23 per litre.
Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $54.98 per litre, up by 10 cents and butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $59.43 per litre after a decrease of 10 cents.
Marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark up.
