Brunch & Rhythm Is Back
The monthly Sunday brunch, Brunch & Rhythm, which had the uptown set heading to downtown Kingston’s waterfront to reserve tables, is back on the culinary map after a three-month break. A partnership between From Thought To Finish and Jahmento Productions, business partners Dennis Howard and Jacqui Tyson took time off to regroup, rethink and relaunch the monthly do they’re positioning to help make downtown the must-do destination it once was.
Addressing guests, Howard, who is proud of his roots growing up on High Holborn Street and Blake Street, said he had a personal
stake in trying to reinvigorate the area; while Tyson, an ardent supporter of Coronation Market, shared that her business is inextricably linked to downtown given she has a production base for her various concessionaire outfits housed at the Jamaica Conference Centre.
The pair’s brunch venture, which has relocated from its previous location at Victoria Pier to the more spacious Bank of Jamaica waterfront park, will retain its expansive menu that includes the famous barbecue-glazed pig’s tail, as well as crispy pork, grilled lamb chops, bite-size mini pancakes with whipped cream and strawberry toppings, ackee voulevant, and other options.
Mark your calendars, Brunch and Rhythm returns for Mother’s Day next month on Sunday, May 11; on Father’s Day on Sunday, June 15; and every last Sunday of the each month that follows.
