Make Your Mark Consultants (MYMC) will, later this month, for the fifth time host the only comprehensive middle managers development programme of its kind in the region.

This year’s conference, which will be held April 29-30 at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel, will feature a presenter from Thunderbird School of Global Management, managing director of executive education Joe Carella. Thunderbird is the world’s number one ranked school of international business in the USA with more than 60 years of experience in developing leaders with a global mindset, business skills and social responsibility necessary to create real, sustainable value for their organisations, communities and the world. Dedicated to preparing students to be global leaders and committed global citizens, Thunderbird was the first graduate business school to adopt an official Professional Oath of Honour.

Indeed, Jamaica is at a cross roads in its development, and needs to move full speed ahead in creating new enterprises, offering competitively priced products and services at a global standard. Against this background, managers need to be equipped with the values, attitudes, skills and competences needed to achieve vision 2030.

Jacqueline Coke-Lloyd, managing director of MYMC, said that the Middle Managers’ Conference was conceptualised to fulfill the progressive needs of the managers, their organisations and the Jamaican economy.

Carella, who has more than 14 years of experience in advising global corporations on corporate strategy and organizational change, will be the keynote speaker. He has extensive knowledge of the Telecoms, IT services and Transportation industries, having worked at British Telecommunications, Ernst & Young and the London 2012 Olympics Transportation Programme. While at the 2012 Olympics Transportation Programme, Carella became a PRINCE2 practitioner (PMI equivalent) and led the review and assessment of infrastructure projects worth over US$2.3 billion.
