Caribbean Diaspora Weekly TV Show widens North America coverage
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Caribbean Diaspora Weekly TV Show will be broadcast in over 20 Caribbean countries and 10 North American regions on One Caribbean Television and Caribvision at the end of April, Blondie Ras Productions, Caribcast and Jamaicans.com announced this week.
The TV show, featuring a “relatable look at our world from the perspective of Caribbean people living overseas” premiers on OCTV on Monday, April 28 at 8:00 pm, and on Caribvision on Tuesday, April 29 at 10:30 pm.
OCTV broadcasts in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, DC and Lehigh Valley on RCN Cable, where it is positioned between the Food Network and Travel Channel. The channel also begins broadcast in Toronto on Bell Fibe basic cable at the end of April, the producers said.
Caribvision broadcasts in over 20 Caribbean countries on cable, and in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut on Cablevision. Caribbean Diaspora Weekly was first broadcast on February 22, 2014.
Each week, the show, hosted by Entertainment personality Calibe Thompson, offers a roundup of news highlights from the Caribbean and the Diaspora, “an exposé on issues and people making an impact in our community, and a thought-provoking perspective on a controversial subject”.
