DENBIGH High School in Clarendon buzzed with excitement last Saturday as it hosted the LIME-sponsored Epic Event.

The school was selected from 150 entrants based on the highest number of votes in a text-to-win competition. The funds raised will go towards the purchase of a school bus.

There was no shortage of entertainment with deejays Konshens and QQ as headline acts. Comedians Boasy Boy Floyd and Donald ‘Iceman’ Anderson co-hosted the event.

Mike Henry, member of parliament for Central Clarendon where Denbigh High is located; school Principal Kasan Troupe and LIME’s Public Relations officer Danielle Savory were not to be left out, squaring off in an amusing dance contest.

Henry showed he was no slouch on the dance-floor while Troupe proved she had the moves to Voicemail’s hit song, Wacky Dip.

QQ took the stage at 10:55 pm accompanied by the LIME Dancers. He performed Stukie, Rum Ram and One Drop before making way for Konshens who delivered a sterling performance.

His set included No Hesitation, Gyal A Bubble, I’m Coming and Winner.

For Principal Troupe, it was a day well spent.

“It comes at a time when we have been working towards getting a long overdue school bus. This opportunity is very well timed and will go a long way in helping us to reach the target,” she said.
