Winston Griffiths fined $6,000 by stewards
THE stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission are announcing the following disciplinary actions following recent investigations.
Jockey Winston Griffiths, who rode Ragamuffin in the second race on Saturday, April 12, was fined $6,000 for intimidation and interference caused to Midnight Launch, All Is Mine and Fill’s Fancy leaving the 500 metre point.
Jockey Orayne Sewell, who rode Infantry Officer in the third race on Saturday April 12, was fined $8,000 for intimidation and interference caused to Roman Spy in the vicinity of the 300 and 100 metre points on the racetrack.
Jockey Robert Halledeen, who rode Fabulous Connection in the 11th race on Saturday, April 12, was fined $8,000 for interference caused to Girl On Fire and Never Give Up in the vicinity of the 800 metre point.
