KIA Motors kicks off summer campaign
KIA Motors Jamaica launched its summer promotional campaign at the dealership’s Chelsea Avenue headquarters on Monday. The promotion is also in keeping with its parent company’s Official Partner status with the 2014 FIFA Worldcup.
The campaign, KIA Motors Jamaica Summer of Surprises, seeks to engage customers and potential customers by giving them the opportunity to win several prizes from the company and through sponsors, such as cell phones from Digicel, gift certificates, tickets to the World Cup match and a 2015 KIA motor car.
Speaking to guests at the launch, director of marketing and Sales at KIA, O’Neil Minott emphasized that the dealership will be taking a strategically aggressive approach to marketing its vehicles and services over the next several months, which according to him is intended to be a constant feature of the organization.
“We want potential KIA customers and customers to gain real benefits through us, which is why as of today, we will give a ninety day moratorium on the purchase of any KIA motor vehicle”, a play on the fact that there are ninety days of summer and ninety minutes in a football match.
Minott also highlighted the fact that civil servants will benefit from a $75,000 rebate on any car purchase throughout the campaign and $100,000 off for SUVs, much to the delight of assembled guests who applauded heartily.
Also in attendance at the hour-long ceremony was Senator Ruel Reid who gave raving reviews for his brand new KIA Sportage which replaced his BMW 5.25i and Jerry D from RJR, who acted as MC for the morning event, while Milton Samuda of The Business of Sports provided the keynote address.
Individuals who top up with two hundred dollars Digicel credit or more are automatically entered to win a 2015 KIA Picanto or two tickets to the 2014 FIFA Worldcup in Brazil and stand the chance of winning weekly prizes also from Digicel.
