Pepperpot – Judging the talk show presenter

Pepperpot – Judging the talk show presenter

Maybe it’s that judges don’t necessarily make good talk show presenters, but the station is said to be thinking of making a big change. You be the judge of that decision.

Woman at risk

A gay reader responds to Pepperpot thus: “I will dismiss the part of your statement about ‘legitimate human rights activities being infiltrated (by gays)…’ as the kind of ‘the sky is falling hysteria’ that prejudice and discrimination generate when the objects (Jews, Blacks, Mexicans… list as many as you can) of that prejudice and discrimination decide enough is enough. Let me tell you about the greater risk to Jamaican women and African-American women: the levels of homophobia drive men who are gay and bisexual to have women in order to be ‘accepted’ and to advance their social and professional lives! Therein lies the risk to women when we tek set pon gay men.”

The phantom banker

The high-profile married banking executive at one of the commercial banks is said to be having an affair with a junior member of his staff for six years now. Word is that he got her the job, bought her an apartment and car and paid for her MBA. The executive is in charge of the division that sets policy about employee relationships.

Kudos to ganja advocates

My girls screamed when they heard the announcement about the decriminalisation of ganja. Kudos to those who carried the fight, including MP Raymond Pryce, Paul Burke and Delano Seiveright.

Question of the week

How will the US react to Jamaica’s decision to decriminalise ganja?
