Corinaldi Avenue win Western Primary Champs
CATHERINE HALL, St James — Corinaldi Avenue Primary of St James won their second JPSCo Western Primary Schools Athletics Championships held at the Montego bay Sports Complex recently, scoring 238 points to win their second title after taking the first in 2010.
Last year’s champions Howard Cooke Primary were second with 200 points, while Catherine Hall Primary took third place with 197 points.
Wakefield Primary of Trelawny were fourth with 169 points and Barracks Road Primary rounded out the top-five with 156 points.
Corinaldi Avenue won the girls’ section with 147 points ahead of Howard Cooke’s 96, while Wakefield Primary were the boys champions with 131 points beating Catherine Hall Primary’s 107.
Fifteen new records were established on the day with some broken more than once.
